Research is one of the areas of interest for the ELI staff and postgraduate students. In recent years Sudan suffered from a decline in the research activities carried specially in the area of English language teaching as a foreign language. The ELI staff and visitors carried a number of studies that were published in a number of peer-reviewed journals and books to view some of this research click here.
Currently all the MA TEFL students are carrying a number of research activities which will be published at the ELI website. The research is a perquisite for the TEFL 607 Research Methods and Design in Language Teaching course. The ELI prepared a proposal guide, research paper guide for the use of students and a marking scheme for the use of supervisors.
